coryphantha

(propagated plants & seeds)

Coryphantha Photos:

Most of the varieties of this genus are small globular plants and some of them grow as a singular stem while others will spread with off setting shoots. Generally they have to grow to maturity before they will bloom and the flowers are usually yellow, pink or red. Their habitat is the south west United States and Mexico where they usually grow in sunny dry locations. As house plants they will grow slowly, but do very well in a sunny location and it's important to with hold water for the entire cold weather season.
